Al Falah University Celebrates 45th National Day of the United Arab Emirates
Al Falah University celebrated the 45th National Day of the founding of the United Arab Emirates in the presence of the University’s Chancellor, Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Sameer Al Barghouthi, members of the faculty, administrative staff and students.
The ceremony started with the national anthem and reading of verses from the Koran and welcome speech from Dr. Atatreh. On his speech for the occasion, he expressed his sincere congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President - Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and to the fellow members of the Supreme Council of rulers of the Emirates, to the people of the United Arab Emirates and for the forty-fifth national day. He also prayed to God Almighty to preserve the UAE and sustain the security and prosperity under the wise leadership.
A number of university students submit poems and passages and several recreational activities inspired by the Emirati folklore mark the occasion.
The ceremony also included a book fair organized in partnership with the UAE Publishing House in addition to art exhibitions that shed light on the meanings and values of identity and national loyalty.
The ceremony performed by the Dubai Civil Defense included a lecture which explains the basics of dealing with fire and emergency incidents.
The ceremony concluded with national dances and traditional art performances interactions with the audience reflecting the love and belonging to the Emirates homeland.
